wow, what an intense expression...nicely captured.
i guess if i had a pick it would be to include just a tad more space on the sides, but it's really pleasing as is.

    nice one!

      Cheers!

I played around with the crop on this image for ages, the original was landscape , and had the wolf in the centre with equal negative space either side. It just looked wrong.

I really wanted to keep the 1:1.5 dimensions for printing purposes, and this is the best I could come up with.

I agree with all Jon said.

Another cracker - lovely pose, details and dof. I reckon you did justice to this splendid animal.

You might be able to add a touch more 'pop and punch' by tweaking the curves a little - but it's nevertheless very nice as is already.

The fact that his front paws are on a nice stone is great. I would make one adjustment and maybe I'm being a pain in the **** but just above his shoulder, near top of picture there is a bit of whiteish background that sort of bleeds into the fur; I would clone this to green. It just keeps catching my eye.
But that being said it is a beautiful shot of a handsome animal.

            I love this image,
The pose, the eyes the expression, really goes to make a great picture, the exposure and DOF looks spot on to me, difficult as always to judge the punch of an image on screen, I feel it would look good printed on silk or pearl, or perhaps even glossy "at a push", that would give it some punch but I am not a fan of glossy. only for family snaps. Came back after another look and yes that little highlight closest at the rear of the wolf does catch the attention a little.

              Hi Coupekid,

The image is nice ant the colors very natural. A little more space left and right would be better as other users commented.

I observe though some partial bluriness in some parts of the body of the wolf, if I'm not mistaken, while others are sharp (head and front legs). Maybe it is due to some sudden movement of the wolf though.

              Regards

              George

I can't offer critique with this sort of shot, just admiration.

Thanks so much for all the positive comments and critique.

Definately agree about the white spot.

                  Thanks again.

                      Hi,

Another great shot from the wolf series. I can't offer any critique as anything I had to say would only change and not enhance the picture.

                      Best Regards

I should have put this on the 'Visitors to the back garden' thread
