Your dog is definitely better than my dog(s)!

    I like it, it's a good portrait

I am really finding that these photographs (not only yours Mike) that just about totally fill the page and then have to be scrolled to be seen do not do them justice.

It's extremely hard for me to understand the whole image when seen in bits.

With regard to the dog. I am not sure whether the fact that it is blown up so much that the eyes look 'dead' - again something does not look right for me here. Perhaps a smaller image would work better and put more life into the eyes.

Aaaaaah - well I love it (the picture as well as the dog).

If it were mine I'd definitely be having an A4 frint from it. Before i went for the print though - here are some few things I might do to prepare the file.

Deal with that crop of the tip or his ear. I'm assuming it's just the frame that's clipped his ear?

Sharpen up the eyes more - either with an new layer with a selection of just the eyes or maybe careful use of the PS sharpen tool.

I think I'd also try to sharpen up his nose a bit more so that the details the nose skin show up and shine a touch more fopr the print (aka his 'keratin gechnozzle' in my personal doggy language. )

Audrey ... can't you just hit F11 and see the whole image at full screen? I have no problem at all looking at it at full screen - my screen res is 1080x1050 and Mike's picture fits in perfectly with a small amount of space still available top and bottom.

Yes, I would agree. Even with my 1920x1024 screen it's too big. I recommend 800 wide for landscape images and 700 high for portrait ones. The doggy portrait is 900 high.
