    Re: Woodland

lovely capture Mike. Looks really picturesque!

Have you tried tweaking the levels just a tad though, to give a little extra punch?

What more is there to say - a very interesting scene and blessed with some good light. I'd be very pleased with this, Mike.

      Where was this taken?

          Re: Woodland (reworked)

Personally, I prefer the softer tones of the first (and incidentally you are bringing back happy memories - I used to take my first girlfriend to Golitha Falls for a........walk(!) when I was a much younger man!)

          Regards,

            Re: Woodland

Its personal choice at the end of the day, whilst the original did lack some contrast, the second one may not be the result I would have come up with. However it certainly has more punch and had I not seen the original I may have been happy with it.

I really love the scene you've captured! I prefer the 1st original copy, as it's the soft light I would have expected in the woods & therefore soft shadows! Funny enough, this scene would look so very impressive with a little mist! Was there a stream there?

                Re: Woodland

I like both versions - the overall softness of the original where it looks as if it's almost misty (which would probably also look good) and the punchy edited version.

Second version for me - good spot.
