Hi Ben, Elise looks nice in the shot, but the skip in the background does detract from the result.

well, I wasnt sure if it gave a bit of context, a kind of gritty background to something (in my opinion anyway!) quite the opposite.

The skip is actually bright green, but I have desaturated the background, and dulled the colours slightly on Elises clothes.

I have attached the original so you can see.

Thanks for your comments Ian, I just wasnt sure about it

I would be interested to hear what others think, even if its just a like, or dont like comment.

I quite like this, we cant always have the best of backdrops and if you wanted a reminder of the moment in time, the skip is there. so be it....................I hope the bunny didn't get it

Very enjoyable, almost streetwise, pose from the little girl. What distracts me most is the rubbish on the right. The skip is not a problem as you have handled it well. But I would clone out the rubbish.

I agree with Tom - for me, the desaturated skip sets a street context, but the plastic bag on the right is just too bright and draws the eye.
Lovely image of your daughter, though! (looks like one tough kid!)

            Regards,
