  • Party Time

this was shot in a darkened reception hall. the music was loud and there was a wild circle around the dance floor. i had to stand on a chair to see what was going on. the bride and her father were dancing. yes, the road kill in the top of the frame is her dad. multiple light was used and the exposure was made standing on a chair, using a fisheye lens, holding the camera over my head and aiming it down at the dance floor. flash cables were cropped out in post.

Well done for being in the centre of the action! Was this a pro job or a family event?

I doubt any of the photographers at weddings I have been to would have been in at the deep end like this.

I doubt many photographers would have used more than on camera flash or a fisheye come to that Well done for getting such a result

I really like this - a lovely spontaneous shot (well I suppose not, if you'd had to climb a chair...)

this was a typical saturday night wedding assignment, i thought. about 250 guests. after the ceremony, i did some photos of the couple by a river. i looked over and the wedding party had a large cooler and were basically having a tailgate party.
(these were by the most part medical professionals, the legs coming out from the right belong to a doctor. i did her wedding as well.)
