    Re: The statue.

    Hello Peder,
I like the contrasts of black and white in the second picture, the clean lines, and the way you see the picture, the tile pattern the floor compliments the straight lines surrounding the curves on the sculpture.
Definately the second for me, but all offer a different opinion on the same subject.
    regards
    Mike

      Re: The statue.

number two works best for me. your eye seeks out the greater contrast. i don't understand the yellow above the statue though. did you add this? i would run it through B&W again to remove.

        Re: The statue.

I'm afraid the first one seems very "ordinairy" - but perhaps that was just to show us the "not very interesting or special" scene you were working with?

The contrast of the statue against the wall on the last image makes it look, to me, as if you've cut out and stuck on an image of the statue using photoshop.

But I like the middle three..... my favourite is the fourth picture. I like the clean black and white lines with the splash of blue from the blinds.

        Just my thoughts......

        Regards,

        Neil

Isn't it strange that the eyes seem to look in a different direction according to the shot! In your 4th pic it seems the eyes could be shut & its sleeping! In 5th, eyes seem to look to right side & whats coming down the road! As if to say....".Oooops, what's coming now! Is it going to run me over!" The last pic...the whole face is set with strong resolution or determination! Very interesting!
