Dear All,

A few weeks ago I drove round the lake district. Had my camera with me but for various reason only took one picture. Have just gone back to look at it and can't make my mind up about whether to stick with the full picture or crop it.

I would welcome your opinions.

Hi Josh,

The truth is that I like your photo a lot. Nice colors and lighting.
Personally I would stick with the uncropped version simply because in the cropped version the land (green and yellowish part) is not so proportional to each other making the yellowish part looking either like it is distracting with the enenly green land or that you couldn't avoid not to include the yellowish part.

If there was a 3rd version with the yellowish land cropped completely then I would stick with the 3rd version.

First of all, Josh - what a lovely scene. Well done.

I honestly can't tell you which I prefer they both work for me. But I suppose that if I was pushed, I might go against the popular opinion here and select the cropped one, but I'd like to see George's idea of a third version with more cropped off the bottom.

Full version does it for me, Greatbwell ballanced image, I would also like to see the suggested third version.

hi Josh,

i guess i'll go against the grain and say i prefer the cropped version, but maybe a little less of a crop. maybe something just above the dark patch of grass. i absolutely love your image, but that dark patch is distracting for me.
