Would appreciate critique & comments on this shot! How would you rate it as a Travel Photo?

It has many of the elements that people expect of Venice, and I like the lower angle, obviously from another boat. As a travel photos though, I would suggest it lacks the almost obligatory blue sky

I like the low angle shot as well as the clouds ... and found that the both points are already mentioned by two earlier comments.
If I may add, i want something in the foreground just on the water between your boat and the two others. But that's of course impossible. So my alternative idea is to crop the bottom of the photo to some extent so that the two boats (which seem to typically represent Venice) in a more impressive manner... just my preference though.

Hi Jocelyn.

Having been to Venice on 3 separate occasions staying 4, 8 and 1 day I have many photos of Venice.

I like the low angle of this one, but Venice does have some wonderful light and the blue skies with puffy clouds are my favourites.

I would have also taken some off the bottom of the photo making it more into a letterbox shape.

It may be my screen, but I think the buildings have a bit too much contrast and/or saturation for me.

Still a very nice travel photo though.

Nice sharp pic but i would go with the rest of the gang - blue sky and white clouds for me

I guess I'd have to replace the sky then huh! That for me is a bit trickier than tweaking the saturation levels! Thanks for your suggestions & comments everyone! Yes, cropping the bottom section I think would focus attention more on the gondolas! Yes, I was in a gondola, hanging over (warily) as much as I was comfortable in doing!!
