Looks like it's just had a frolic in a coal cellar

What did you do - is this substantially different to the original?

Awwww - he looks kinda guilty, like a dog who knows he's about to be told off for doing summick he knew was wrong, but he couldn't resist it so he went ahead and did it anyway!

I like it very much - nice capture and I also like the processing. Nice shot, nice work imo.

My feeling is he's going 'into' the dark rather than out of it ...... unless the coal cellar is in the sunny corner of course.

        Have a look

Here is the 'slightly tweaked' shot, close to the 'out of the camera' original.

Ha ha, brilliant, now thanks to you and Ian, all I am thinking about is coal sheds when I look at the photo!!

He is only about 6months old, so still a youngish cub. He was quite boystrous as well, so I think you summed him up well Pol!

I find it has a sort of threatening prescence, as though its stalking. Reminds me somewhat od someof the creatures in Lord of the Rings, perhaps with its eye on a Hobbit

                Hi Danny,

I like what you have done here, however, I quite like the dark feeling of the original, with the coloured eyes.

This is VERY nice, great mood, movement and reminds me of the dogs from Jack London's classic "Whitefang" The eyes especially looks omnious to me.

I feel a menacing presence here and whatever he is up to, he is just waiting for the exact moment to pounce(on you Ben?). The eyes are a bit terrifing too and what ever treatments you have applied, it all adds up to a great capture.

I just love wolves. I wish I could see them in the wild for myself one day. I think you have done well with the colormasking. The mood is very strong here. Great shot and PP work.

                        Well done.
                        Kind regards,

There is a way that nature speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story.

                          Hi Coupkid,
A great image , well presented and processed, not so much menecing as saying, Behave, dont try anything, cause I'm watching you.

I did like the coloured eyes - but I love what you did here, Danny - nice tones and contrasts imho.

I like the way you've enhanced the sheen on the wolf's coat. I also like the way you've enhanced the luminosity. It all works to make the wolf 'pop' out against the background.

How did you do it? Is it just a case of tweaking the contrast with levels and curves adjustment layers or do you use some other tools?
