Taken last week at leeds tropical world. Ive tried this in sepia and b&w as it is kind of abstract but I think the original colour is the best of the bunch.

Yes, it's very good. I know what Gina means about the cropping, but the colours and textures are so good and clear surrounding the eye, it would be difficult to know how much to leave out.
How about darkening the corners with a vignette?
I took an elephant's eye about 7 years ago. Looking at it now, I should probably have cropped it a bit more. It was only a 2 meg Olympus Camedia, so probably would not have made a big enough picture.

If it were cropped any more it would look like the eye in the Godzilla add, or was it Jurasic Park ... ?
One of those movies anyway ..... great colours and so clear .... spooky
