    Hi Gina

I think it is a superb photograph.

It is a very unusual view of a rose to the point of it being almost abstract. The rich saturated orange set against the black background work very well for me.

I may only have taken a tad off the top so that the top and left side were equidistant; but that is really being picky.

It's stunning. Well done! The velvety glowing texture is lovely.

Thanks Audrey, yes it could do with a small crop I agree, but thanks for commenting. Are you better now?

I agree with Audrey - it is almost abstract, and the colour of the rose is extremely unusual - almost bronze. Beautifully captured, love the texture - you could almost stroke it

Thanks Gina. I am still in bed and keep doing the odd hop with crutches to the computer, but I am still very tired although I am pleased to say I haven't suffered any pain and have taken very few pain relieving tablets.

I was wondering how you got the black background. It is so suitable. I was lying in bed thinking how you did it.

I'd say nicely done m8! A different take on a familiar subject.

Being a bit of a perfectionist (well sometimes), I would probably have cloned out some of the little white specs on the petals?

I'm not a fan of copyright markings either but fully understand why people do it - at least you used a complimentary colour
