  • Not one of my usual subjects!

Actually taken while idly playing about with the camera after cleaning it at the patio table (nice sterile, dust-free environment for sensors with all that pollen about ).

The basket was hanging in front of a very large jasmine bush that grows over one end of our pergola and the shadow underneath gave a pleasing background.

Never sure whether it's worth keeping this type of shot? Is the dangling shoot & leaves a distraction? I could easily clone it out and re-crop?

If I'd planted and nurtured that hanging basket myself I'd certainly keep and print the picture as a record, complete with the trailing shoot and leaves. I would also do the clone and crop jobbie for a second, more arty-clarty picci.

It's a very nice basket arrangement and I suspect you or other members of the family might look back at the pics in the future.

It's also the sort of picci my mother-in-law likes to see on a greetings card - likes to have something personalised from our own garden.

Nowt wrong with a bit of personalised sentimentality, especially when someone in the family obviously has green fingers.

I'd pretty much agree with Pol.
Though its never going to be a piece of photographic fineart, its still a colourful and pleasing record of your basket which maybe useful for the record
