I think the image has potential but you will have to work hard to get the best out of it. Looks like the exposure was at least a stop or perhaps one and a half out on the foreground?

As an idea it was a good one though; the couple, although small, make it.

Agree with that, but any lower and the sky would be even more blown ...
Could take it down a notch, and then use the grad filter in lightroom 2 to bring the sky down ?

      Just my thought ....

Forgive me but I had to try ....
5 minutes in Lightroom 2 ... it's very 'rough' but given time ....

            Hi Yoshi,

I too had a go using the image in StuartR's post. I levelled the images horizon something that was on the go when I first joined the forum.

Not sure what else I can add. Yes it is underexposed. Love what Stuart has done. Moving past exposure I really love the picture the inclusion of the couple is superb and really adds both scale and interest.

              Best Regards

Re: Is this too much under exposed?

                Thanks everybody for the comments.

While I was taking pitures of the flowers, I found the couple was (were?) approaching from the left. I took two shots. The first one was focused on the flower at the lower middle and consequently the sky was over-exposed. It was evening. The second one, which is the posted one, was focused on the couple, after waiting until they passed the middle point of the frame so that they had longer distance behind them rather than before them. - I admit I was maybe too bad for them. I was thinking of implying a shorter/turmoil future together with a little bit under exposure. ..... BUT the exposure, however, was much darker than I had thought, when viewed on PC. Probably the god gave me a penalty.

I tryed myself to improve the exposure by pp_ing but none of my trials were satisfactory. You all have a good skill indeed!

Oh, btw, himmelblau, it was taken at a hill so it looled like this. (see thumnail) - your comment about the horizontal is however also helpful for me. I think I need to take it into account for future shots. Incidentally, I like blue sky with nice clouds. Are you from Germany?

                thanks again.
