Re: Tidal Zone
Spotted it in the gallery before you'd posted. It's the sort of place and scene that I love, the sort of place where I like to be.
The lighting, sky and textures are amazing. It's almost surreal. Those 'craters' are almost like a scene from a faraway planet.

Re: Tidal Zone
Like this Stephen, the patterns in the sand, the angry sky, the light shining through, not too much going on but I suspect it looks alot more dramatic larger.
cheers
Ash.

Re: Tidal Zone
Lovely photograph Stephen. The lighting is superb. It looks as though the lights had been switched on just for your photo shoot.
I remembered you said you were going to Pembrokeshire and hoped to get some sunsets, which reminded me of a Pembrokeshire sunset I took a few year's ago. I might post it later.
When I head about all the floods in Wales, including Pembrokeshire I wondered if you had encountered any flooding.
Where was this photo taken?

Re: Tidal Zone
I like the pattern in the sand at the foreground and the clouds in the top right. This is the sort of photo that will remind of summer 2008

Re: Tidal Zone
I'm with Ash, bet this looks even better full screen!
Lovely light, wish I was there right now..
However, as this is the critique forum, just a little more detail on the more distant rocks on the right would have been nice? perhaps?, possibly? guv'nor?Stuart R

Re: Tidal Zone
Thanks for the comment Stuart. I can see what you mean, but I'm questioning the need for any more detail in those rocks. Do you really think the picture would be enhanced if you could see more detail? I'm happy to give it a go however if bringing out more detail can be justified.Originally posted by StuartR View PostI'm with Ash, bet this looks even better full screen!

Here's another shot taken from the same place

Re: Tidal Zone
Hi
So I actually prefer the last picture you posted Stephen. The first is everything the others have said but I can't seem to grasp the scale in my head. The rocks keep looking like cliffs to me! Don't know why just do.
With the last one the lead in lines work really well and I get the sense of scale.
Best regards
Josh
