    Re: Bubble Bobble

A good attempt at what is a difficult subject to photograph. You have managed to capture sharp bubbles showing their shape and form and the psychedelic patterns within their surface. You have also managed what I think is a quite pleasing composition, no doubt the crop was helpful. The only thing that lets it down is the flash reflecting back off the bubbles. Did you try any without flash?

Thank you for looking Stephen. Yes, I did take some without flash, but they were very poor, I couldn't get a fast enough shutter speed. It was a little difficult with a bubble wand in one hand and shutter release in the other, to get even any in front of the lens.

After noting your comment I tried again this afternoon, outside in natural light, but the wind was not playing. Then I tried in my porch and got the reflection from the windows. As with most things, I'll keep trying from time to time and perhaps find a good solution.

Nice one, I like these, the flash reflection sparkle add's to the composition, and unless in bright sunlight you wont get crisp shots like these without flash, unless you up the iso but loose quality, again like stephen says difficult subject to get a good result but i think youve had a good stab there! well done.

I like the colour & patterns within the bubbles! A very difficult task you set yourself there & great that you managed a good composition & clear, sharp shot! Well done!

Thank you for the encouragement Ash and Jocelyn. Something to be revisited at some point I think. I now have the original (wider) on my desktop, and am enjoying it, so I guess that is what it is all about.
