        Oh ok then .........

I think maybe it might have had more impact if you'd been able to get closer so that the processing and colours and details of the hull had been seen more clearly.

I certainly recognise that processing technique and you seem to have got it spot on. I'm sorry I can't say I like it though.

I have to admit I prefer the colours of the Ferry bettr with this style of processg - the genuine colurs being a tad ordinary and boring - but I'm just not keen on the effects on the sea and the sky. I sometimes feel there just too much yellow and that can make the pictures seem flat - can remove too much of the drama. I also feel that technique can make the skin look a bit jaundiced.

Kudos for sussing it though. I've been fiddling about playing with that sort of thing for ages myself but never got anything worth sharing. I'm still plodding through the 'wotsisname' book. I want to be able to do it - even though I don't always like the end result.

I'd rate that a 9/10 for getting there with that processing. I might even have given it 10/10 if it hadn't been for that darkish area on the bottom right corner (looks like a vignette).

Ive changed my mind i don't want to hear it

Your right about getting closer but id allready been told off by a Jobsworth early in the morning for being in the 500 yard zone they have put up The processing i was trying out and trying to rip off someone else's style so unsure about it myself. Im unsure about the whole image myself thats why i put it here

Awww - I'm being a tad cruel because I already knew about the jobsworths who are being a pain-in-the-butt about keeping peeps back.

You did very well all things considered - honestly. It's undoubtedly an ongoing news event up there and you most certainly succeeded in getting your image processed well enough to stand up againt the other bloke who lives more locally.
