Luvly shot gina, although I personally think the frame is a little overshot, a superb capture.
Anymore pics of flowers are welcome to try and brighten us all up to the so called british summertime

Nice deep colours there pops, out of the birds and the bee's, your definatly a bird man!
At 250mm you would be strugling to keep that sharp @ 100/sec. I understand that the trouble with aperture priority and shutter priority is that it does not take into acount long focal length movement, because it operates on the amount of light coming into the lens, so at long focal lengths such as this the end result is flawd. Your pics seem to be a prime example.
Keep sending the bird shots pops, there the best ive ever seen!

I do like that second wide one peter, very tranquil, I could see myself sat on that small beach on the right with a chilled beer

I've been watching this thread and thinking to myself that I'm not sure I can even remember what Summer is, let alone what it looks like.
I was looking through a few folders from last year and came across this casual snapshot of a Lupin. The picture was taken at 5-00pm 01 June 2007 and I took the shot because I liked the colour of the flower.

Oops, I forgot to say that I admire the rusty orange gerbera. Up close like that enables you to appreciate all those tiny overlapping parts in the centre. Nice placement and lit to take full advantage of the myriad of petals.
