  • It's a long way to the Top

My wife and I have just been luck enough to be in the English Lake district and have 3 inches of snow drop over night on the top.

Took a few pictures but I liked this one as my wife found it very tough getting to the top - this fell top is called "Catbells".

    Enjoy

Hi Dave, I really like this picture. There is a lovely fresh feel to it and the almost contre jour lighting and white snow work well. You seem to have used the trodden path as the lead in, but I would suggest that with about a third cropped off the bottom, the line of people become the lead in and I think it works much better.

Scrolling the pic up I can see the effect of Stephen's suggestion however...I rather like the well trodden path and the footprints in the snow as the lead into the pic

I do see where stephen is coming from and cropping up nearly half the frame would tidy it up without loosing any drama, I think both takes work well and is down to personal preference, shots like this work well on a wide format as uzz humans see in wide
        A very nice shot.
