  • Rather pleased with myself

I am feel rather pleased and smug with myself today, following on from Permajet using a picture of mine on the front of their brochure for Focus, I have just received by post notification I have won best colour print in the MCPF annual exhibition
These are both pictures critical comment welcome.

Congratulations! Well pleased you should be! The B&W Portrait is a stunner! The composition is superb! I think the monotone enhances & lends itself well to the mystique of the shot!

Well done, Patrick! The shot of the girl is quite a revelation when opened up from the thumbnail

It just shows Ian I have spent loads of money upgrading my photo kit and the portrait was 2/3 of a 12meg file taken with my old Olympus E10.

Both damn fine shots Patrick - well done on your accolades The portrait has taken on a 3D effect with the way the veil drapes above the model's right eye.

Patrick - you should be justly proud. The image of the woman is haunting - her eyes behind the veil really attract your attention. And the first image - the placing of the reflection(?) is superb.

nice one patrick, I love that first image of the room, the subtle reflection in the mirror finishes it off superbly.

Don't know, working on it, perhaps the fact the Ist image also won best colour in my own clubs annual exhibition counts.
