Frost or Snow

This morning we had the most wonderful frost or is it snow. The woods were begging to be photographed.
Difficult to do the scenery justice but here are a few of my attempts-

I like them, well taken and spotted.
according to our weatherman, it is neither frost or snow.
It is called rime(sp), its something when its so cold and the moisture comes down and touches it turns to frost..

for me 1 and 4 are the best, but may still need tweaking to pick it up a bit.
pity you can not go back and do number 2 again, because I feel from a slightly different angle would be great, it starts off with nice framing in the foreground but nothing by the trees, but you still have got the eyes travelling down the river.

Thanks for commenting FP - It was certainly an amazing morning - I wonder if I'll ever get another chance like that. I'll have another at go tweaking because I did feel that that they could be bettered.

I have to say I hope so, because I was poorly when this was all happening and would have loved the chance to go out. seen some amazing photos around
