Re: Fantasies Over Coffee
Yes definitely one to give some thought to and certainly not one I'd feel comfortable dismissing. The title is appropriate and helps us get inside your thinking Tom.
The more I look at it the more I like it, it puts me in mind of some of the work of John Washington where he uses windows and reflections.Last edited by Stephen; 19-02-08, 02:13 PM.

Re: Fantasies Over Coffee
Thanks very much Stephen and Pol for taking the time and for your positive comments.
Basically this a picture on the wall, in a cafe, of a seductive lady sipping from her cup. Everything else is a reflection.
A man sat at my table and for some reason he perched himself perfectly. I waited for him to take his sip. Luckily I had my 16-45 on the camera as my seated position was no more than 5ft from the picture.
I love the title of this shot but I hasten to add I did not come up with it. I really wanted something with the word "Seduction" in it but when a great internet photography friend of mine came up with this I thought it fitted like a glove and I wanted no other..
Very little PP here except for a little work on the blues.
I had never heard of John Washington but I do feel we share a similar approach in some ways as far as subject matter is concerned but unfortunately for me the similarities end there.
Thanks again.

Re: Fantasies Over Coffee
Hi Tom, it does is a good title that not only explains the photo but also adds verbal attractiveness of the photo. "Seduction", imho, largely reduces the attrativeness of the pic.- sorry if that was your favorite word. It just narrows the direction of my/viewer's imagination/fantasy.
I was also thinking about, while looking at the picture, if it would further increase the attractiveness when I could see the both eyes of the girl - the eyes must be gazing at us (viewers). - I'm not necessarily saying that it's better. I just wanted to compare the both (versions with eyes and without them) in order to further enjoy looking at the photo. As, by so doing, I can also enjoy my fantasy world that has been triggred by your nice shot. Wonderful shots, Tom.

Re: Fantasies Over Coffee
I must say I agree with Yoshi about the eyes, that was the first thing that struck me about the pic....it would've been great to see her eyes as they have been cropped (unevenly, because of a tilt in the reflection!) I like the photo for its ambiguity though & that it sort of tells a story!Jocelyn

Mib2, Yoshi, and Jocelyn
Thanks for commenting. Yes the eyes. To be honest I like not actually seeing all the eyes but I am finding it hard to come up with the words to justify this.
I think of words like 'mystery' or 'tease' but cannot put them together. But I do appreciate why some would want to see all of the eyes.
