On reading the title, my first thought on seeing the image was .... well they're not balls, unless you are thinking of rugby ball shapes. Sorry that just struck me. However, I do like the subtlety in the tones ... the wonderful golden range. The texture comes out in the highlighted areas too, like a beaten copper effect. Perhaps because of the darkness in the background, I find myself wondering what's going to happen next. A pleasing photograph that you can read a lot into.
Yes I too like the textures, the lighting was very difficult for this,this is one of a few I took for a worth 1000 competition, woops nearly gave it away! anybody else like to guess what it is? feel free let your imagination run wild.
