Re: Self Portrait
I am struggling to give any meaningful critique on this Ian, bu suffice to say that I really like the grittiness (sp?) of it.Originally posted by Ian View PostThis has turned out noticeably darker than in Photoshop - but I'd be interested in any comments anyway.
I saw my reflection in the opposite window while on my way home from London on the train one evening this week. I used a small compact point and shoot to take the picture.
Ian
A nice image!

This is more like it, I had the wrong colour space applied - probably by the channel mixer action for creating the greyscale version of the image:Originally posted by coupekid View PostI am struggling to give any meaningful critique on this Ian, bu suffice to say that I really like the grittiness (sp?) of it.

Re: Self Portrait
This image has originality and looks totally unposed. In fact, it looks more like a candid than a self portrait and was definitely worth taking. It demonstrates the value of always being alert to unexpected possibilities, and always carrying a camera.

Haha! I had fun with it. The train was approaching my stop so I had to move fastOriginally posted by John Perriment View PostThis image has originality and looks totally unposed. I took two shots but one was jogged by the train's instability. I knew it would turn out like a hybrid self/candid (contradiction in terms!) picture. From my point of view, it's a weird study of myself from an angle I don't often see.
