  • Donaghadee Harbour

I took a few here the other day and the weather was not ideal, but thats winter for you! I have put up a colour shot and black and white one. They are not the same shot but were taken in the same batch. Both are processed with hdr. For the b&w shot it was all done in the hdr software as opposed to converting from a colour version. Personally I like the b&w one best but I think it is hampered by some of the hdr anomolies you get. I have tried to reduce these as much as possible ans although they are not necessarily very noticible at first, when you know they are there it is hard to miss them! Ah well

    Happy for your thoughts

    Cheers

Morning Richard. These two amply show how a single shot can be interpreted so differently

I am torn between the two as I like the sky more in the mono version and the foreground of the colour one.

One question - is the horizon straight? I know you have ensured the lighthouse is vertical, but the horizon looks out to me. Maybe you need to use perspective correction?
