Re: Curved Concrete
Haha, its taken me several minutes to work out actually what I was looking at. All of a sudden it seemed to be obvious. Its an interesting composition of light and shade, curves and angles. Somehow though I'm not sure it really flows and I find myself left a little frustrated by it. I wouldn't mind betting though that somewhere at the same location there is a great image there.Originally posted by Tom View PostI would appreciate a critique on this photograph which is from one of my recent wanders Thameside.
Many thanks

Re: Curved Concrete
That was a bit like a Chinese puzzle at first. Took me some time to see what it was. Unusual sort of view. As Stephen said, could be interesting from a different angle.Originally posted by Stephen View PostHaha, its taken me several minutes to work out actually what I was looking at. Re: Curved Concrete
I like photographs such as this, it put a smile upon my face when realisation struck home. The contrasts in sharp edges/softening shadows, light/dark, straight/curved, perceived soft/hard, and the subtlety of colour all make me think. A dark frame to contain it may make a difference too.

Many thanks Blithe and I am happy you like the image so much.Originally posted by Blithe View PostI like photographs such as this, it put a smile upon my face when realisation struck home. It looks good in print with a black border as you suggested.
