Mike, it seems you may have been up against it with the light on your walk. The second and third image have some potential I feel, but there is no shadow and contrast, the light is too flat.

Quite right Stephen the light was terrible, very flat no contrast, I waited for a little help but alas nothing to make a striking image

I agree with Stephen, Mike - but maybe some experimentation in mono might be worth a try? The subject is, I feel, worth it for a go.

I reckon the 2nd and 3rd shot are definately worth some time being spent on them. I don't however see mono working with either.

My logic is - if it's a drab day, accentuate the factors that make it that way and you might find some character in the image after all.

Maybe not to everyone's taste...?

Yes - the mono is a bit too heavy, but I'm reasonably pleased with the colour one.

I had a play with the shot of the path Mike, to try and instill a bit of punch to it and make it less flat

I can see that there is a picture in these, I think I need to spend a little more time on them , thanks for you efforts
