With this pic I tried to capture texture of rusted implement as well as the light & its effect! Comments & critique welcome!

    Hi Jocelyn,

I think you have a nice image here.

However, Personally, I feel the image is too tightly cropped, and seeing more of the ferns, especially on the left would have improved the image, as I reckon the light on the plants are just as nice as the light on the rust.

I hope you dont mind me putting the image up.....thumbnails are a pet hate!

The only thing I have against this is it being smack in the middle and the top being to tight.
      Like coupekid says...to tightly cropped

Hi, an interesting, image, that is spoilt by the crop, however the item does not move, is it probably still there? why not take a few more. Well spotted, these still lifes in this style are well worth the effort, I was told that they are refered to as "Found" still lifes, as opposed to constructed still lifes.
By the way it looks like a very old Bottle jack, is it?

Yes, it's an old bottle Jack found in my friend's garden in Queensland, a good few hundred kilometres away! He rebuilds & collects veteran cars & has a number of 'garden gnomes' about! Home isn't home without a garden gnome! This one was 'found' near the garage! Here's a different angle, hopefully with a better crop!
