Linked to image in my gallery so not too sure what I did wrong here; was expecting it to open up full size. Sorry for that.

There you go Tom, can't be doing with those thumbnails Try using the My Pics link where you get the option to post the original image. Stephen

I liked this and you have taken it from a totally different angle to where I would,
I would have automatically gone from the front, but you have gone from the side, and not so the horse is looking at you, so this give a more depth to the photo.
Did you try from any other angles?

I like the left side of the shot, but only in rare circumstances does the subject giving the impression of leaving a space work for me - there are some examples that do work that have been shown on here, but I'm afraid that this one doesn't for me.

Super image Tom, however, in my opinion, it would have worked better with more space on the left than the right, almost to give the rider somewhere to move to.

The lighting is super though with all those shadows

            Hi Tom,
great image, super lighting and exposure, it needs more space on the left to ballance the image and a little less on the right.

              Re: Horseman

I like the tones and you have managed to capture a lot of detail and made the shadows play their part. The sky through the angularly patterned dome is a great backdrop to the statue and is in sharp contrast to the flowing folds and smooth curves. I love all the different lines in this one.

Perhaps cropping off the RH side and centering the statue would address the problem others have with the lack of space on the left. Losing the lighter RH side puts more emphasis on the highlights of the statue also.

Difficult colour/hues to work with but you have captured this very well indeed.
Have to go with everyone else about needing more space on the right though.

Thanks eneryone. Must admit I did not consider the lack of space on the left as we are dealing with a statue basically, but it is a very fair point you all make.
