Re: Horseman
Linked to image in my gallery so not too sure what I did wrong here; was expecting it to open up full size. Sorry for that.
There you go Tom, can't be doing with those thumbnails
Try using the My Pics link where you get the option to post the original image. Stephen

Re: Horseman
I liked this and you have taken it from a totally different angle to where I would,
I would have automatically gone from the front, but you have gone from the side, and not so the horse is looking at you, so this give a more depth to the photo.
Did you try from any other angles?Fp

Re: Horseman
I like the left side of the shot, but only in rare circumstances does the subject giving the impression of leaving a space work for me - there are some examples that do work that have been shown on here, but I'm afraid that this one doesn't for me.

Re: Horseman
I like the tones and you have managed to capture a lot of detail and made the shadows play their part. The sky through the angularly patterned dome is a great backdrop to the statue and is in sharp contrast to the flowing folds and smooth curves. I love all the different lines in this one.
Perhaps cropping off the RH side and centering the statue would address the problem others have with the lack of space on the left. Losing the lighter RH side puts more emphasis on the highlights of the statue also.
