  • Well, back from the wedding - time to go on trial!

Only 354 pics left to do

This one looked good on first review so I thought I'd share it.

One nervous bride and not-so-nervous bridesmaids (sisters) just before the main event.

Perhaps I should clone the lamps out?

I'll post a few more later.

Stuart - looks OK to me

Yes, I'd get rid of the lamps. Exposure is about right - the dark backround would probably have fooled the metering systems in quite a few cameras.

I'd agree. Certainly the exposure looks good. In fact I'd be perfectly happy with the composition. Looks like you are experiencing some pincushion effect though. Suspect when you get your DXO sorted it will remedy that though.

Pin Cushion effect? Not heard of that.

Looks lovely to me stuart, agree about cloning the lamps out, a nice easy job!

I look forward to seeing some more.

Its the curving effect lenses can have, it just showing very slightly on the uprights. If the curve was the other way it would be barrel effect.

Amen to that. Looks like 40D users are going to have to wait for the new v5 at the end of the month though . I've used CS2's lens correction filter to sort it for the time being but do I miss the automated correction available with DxO.

Too quirky? or does it work? I thought it was different...(the weather was so good the wedding took place outside on the terrace - in case you wondered about the moss!)

Yes it's quirky, but that's what weddings are all about; something a bit different. I am sure "Daddy" will like it.

I can remember taking a close up of just the bride's train with confetti on it. People around me asked what I was taking! It came out very well. The bride wouldn't have seen what it looked like had I not taken it. (BTW I was only a guest, not the Pro Phot )

Quirky it may be but you have made it obvious who is in the photograph.

I love the 1st shot. You have certainly got yourself in command of the camera. (I do agree that the lamps should go)
