    Re: tears for peace

I think this is a very emotive capture. I particularly like the out of focus people in the background - they could be either friend or foe. The choice of monotone lends drama also. Like it a lot.

Wow - this one really hits the spot! My own eyes started feeling kinda moist just looking at it - truly! Reportage at its very best imho.

I'm assuming this is one of a series as there's nothing in the backround of this particular picture to indicate it's a protest rally.

Excellent depth of field and excellent processing. So close too. Very memorable shot.

It's a sincere and beautiful picture of an upset woman but I would dearly love to to see a context here, be it a peace rally etc. The tones are perfect as well.

The one picture 'rule' mainly applies to discouraging people from posting a string of different photos and asking for critique on each individual picture within the string - if you see what I mean.

Your series falls more into the category of a 'photo story' - a reportage series, so that's rather different.

I see nothing wrong with posting a photo story and asking for critique on how the series grabs and/or affects the viewer. On the other hand - you can always post a long string photo story (PJ style) in the 'eye of the camera' forum HERE, where people also can and do comment on the series as well as individual pictures.

I think I've got that about right. No doubt Ian will poke his head up and correct me if I'm wrong, or maybe add to what I've said.

As for your protest series - I'm already working my way through them. You always do these things so well. Always very memorable stuff.
