    Hi Jon,

    That's very dream -ike

Being me, I'd probably have made the water closer to vertical - maybe you consciously decided against that?

Nice to see more of your excellent work!

      I love it.

I love the composition and the way you've timed the shutter speed just right so that the end result looks as though someone tilted the cup just far enough to pour out a steady stream down onto the 'earth' below.

I also love the processing, which blends the sky and fountain to create a sort of ethereal quality ....... ie the water of life flowing in a constant and steady stream from the heavens above.

The birds on the rim could even be the Doves of Peace up there watching the flow streaming below, eh.

It also wonderful seeing you back here. I've missed you and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

      Take care.

I Love this Shot. Is that a person standing there on the left ?

I might consider cloning that out ?

        But the rest is suppurb..

        IMHO.

          Re: fountain

I love it. I think it partly works so well because the tones of the fountains bottom are quite similar to those of the sky here. The stains on the bottom of the foutain, the lighting and wide anle shot make the fountain look somehow gigantic. I might consider tweaking it a bit to make the water vertical.... but it works as is. Folks will have to work a bit to see the birds, the ones on the right are identifiable... the one on the left ends up being bit of a black lump though!

          Great shot.

              Re: fountain

Your treatment view point here makes it look unreal, almost as if computer generated in it's entirety and that is what makes this work for me. The scales are fantastic; the shot could be a still frame from on of those Lord Of The Ring style movies. I agree with Lourensb about the black interest on the top left and it would be no loss if it were to disappear.

That's an excellent shot Jon but I can't help wondering what it would look like without the two birds!?

                        Re: fountain

I like the two right birds - they are unobtrusive enough to not detract from the image, but add a little bit of interest to it. I notice that you cropped up on the bottom - I like it before - the fountain sat higher and looked more surreal.

i agree. the rotation required more cloning than i'm comfortable with. you'll notice in the edits where i didn't pay too close attention. i'll continue to explore this since it seems to be a bit of a hit with some of you.

                          thanks again for your insights!

another one for what RSH said! i do like the black thingy on the left being removed in the 2nd shot though. the 2 birds are deffo required as, to me, they add some extra interest, add context and put the photo into scale.

My Last take on this, I would keep the Rotation and the Composition of the Original Posted, but just remove the Left black Bird. The 2 birds on the Right is good.

If you have some time, Try to post one Like that, as I believe that would be the best looking.. However this is a Awesome Picture
