Re: Sunset Felucca
This one grows on me, Paul. I like the way the shadow of the sail, which itself is a nice shape, projects onto the highlight on the water produced by the setting sun.Originally posted by paul.r.w View PostTook a few sunsets liked this the best.
I'd probably crop to frame this a bit closer.
Out of interest, where was this?

Re: Sunset Felucca
Hi,
A super image, could be used to advertise holidays in the area, very nice and inviteing, love the light and reflections, and also the layered effect, make a great poster, or framed picture for the wall also.Catch Ya Later

Re: Sunset Felucca
Lovely warm shot. The shadow of the sail was well caught.
Ian suggests cropping to tighten in on it but I can't see that there is enough space at the end of the shadow to make it worthwhile and certainly cropping from either side would ruin the balance.
Maybe the original has more scope for creating a different composition-------------------------

I think I do too Paul. You have made me start looking through my pics again. With regard to the first image, unless Ian meant to crop it vertically, I agree with Pops, there is insufficient room to crop, if you want to keep the sun and the reflection of the sail in the Nile.

Yep - I think I was meaning to say that it would have been nicer to get closer to the boat and frame it with less distracting surroundings. Cropping clearly isn't much of an option.Originally posted by Autumn View PostI think I do too Paul. You have made me start looking through my pics again.
