Took this as it kind of looked nice at the time. Was it worth the effort?

    Re: Something different

absolutely worth the effort. It looks like a tree in the wind. The composition is good and shows an interesting view because of the low angle.

That said if you got rid of the other shoots either by moving them, or by cloning I think the picture would be better. Now I know this sparks a huge debate about whether a photograph should capture reality or whether reality is whatever is captured by a photograph, but I have no idea what is right.

Anyway, I have done some very very very rough cloning work. See what you think.

    Best Regards

    Josh

Well worth the effort . . . but I am with Josh, a bit of "gardening" would have helped no end.

I definitely think it was very well worth the effort! I think it's an excellent example of how the simplest things can make a wonderful, very natural picture.

I love it exactly as it is, complete with the natural background giving it a natural setting along with the good use of depth of the field.

I wouldn't change a thing. I certainly wouldn't clone anything out of that background ........ it would only serve to rob the field of its depth of field.

        Lovely shot imo, Ron.

Thanks for your input on this. I have had a bit of a trim up before posting this image. I was not sure just how far to go. I can see your point Josh of making the image cleaner and also Poll's view that the DOF adds something to the image. I took a few others, which did not quite look as nice as this one. As it's raining at the moment I will go have a play with some of the others. Cheers.

            My take is slightly different.
Some gardening is required but I would have liked to have seen the plant in the background, same as the one in full focus, left in with all the other clutter taken out.
It would have tidied up the whole thing and still left the sense of DOF

              Hi Ron,
Well worth the effort, leave it as is, it shows the grass in perspective and it, environment.
