    Re: Landscape Scene 2

Hi Lou - this is a competent enough picture, but like I said about another picture posted recently, it doesn't really draw the passing viewer into it; it's a top quality shot for personal appreciation or among those that shared the experience behind the picture, but as an inspirational or moving work that says 'wow' - not this one.

But it is well exposed, the sky blue is nice and the way the road meanders is nice too. It's probably as much as you could expect from the viewpoint. Can you tell us a bit about the scene you captured?

      I have a similar outlook to Ian's.
The viewer would need to have been here to appreciate the scene properly.
I do like the gradient of the sky

I feel that had you gone a little further round the bend you may have captured more of the dramatic berg (background at present) I was hoping to see a few cosmos still about on the roadside! The sandy road & rocky outcrop in the foreground against the berg, taking 3/4 of the frame & balance as sky could have added more drama to the beautiful scenery imho! The vivid blue skies are soooo Africa that I miss!

I'm actually enjoying this one a lot and I think it's nicely framed.
The bends invite my eye to wonder what's around the corners and behind the mounds on the left.
I would crop a little from the bottom just to knock the line of mountains a little off center.
