  • View from the North Face

I snapped this view on the way to the "Top if Europe". The cog railway train stops to let you look through windows cut into the North Face of the Eiger. A worthwhile trip as long as the weather is fine. All comments and criticism welcomed.

    where about is it?
Is there any web site for that place?
I was born and brought up in Iran, a beautiful country full of history.

An interesting image, I like the fact that you left the window frame in, and the silhouetted person adds another dimention to the image.

Thanks, Tinka, I had to wait till the last moment for this. As you may imagine there was a train-full of people round this window for the first few minutes. The result was I had a moment or two to grab the shot and then dash for the platform before the cog train left for the next section of the journey to the top!

You've created a great triptych here kurt! The view is just stunning. Taking the shot from here with onlooker included gives it a slightly surreal look which works for me!

              Kurt,

That would have been a great picture for the "thoughts" salon!
I agree with everyone else about the silhouetted person next to the window. I also like the how the clouds have that cotton-like look to them. This is a well thought out and beautifully composed picture! well done Kurt! I wouldn't change a thing.
