Like most of the shots from the session at the British Museum, this one had a bit of surgery in Transform straightening the lines etc.
I still feel it may be a little wonky but decided to leave well enough alone as it were.
But what do you think. Do you feel it needs a human presence or does it stand up as it is?

A human presence would only act as a distraction to the architectural lines and curves of the scene IMO

I like the way you have used the curve of the inner and outer walls in contrast to the lines of the classical columns and windows beyond. Of course the graduated light on the right curves wall makes the image. Well done, a lovely picture.

There may be a very slight lean to the left but certainly not worth bothering about.
I think it's a great shot and you stood in exactly the right position. The arc of the wall on the left compliments the curved wall on the right beautifully

I really like this Tom. The eye is first drawn to the highlight by both the graduation of the light on the wall and also the curve of the wall leads you in from the right hand side to the highlight. Then the eye is led back to the start by the lines of the windows on the two walls. I get a feeling of space and quiet peace which I feel the inclusion of a figure would have spoiled the whole concept.

A great shot, in my view. Although I may be prejudiced as I really like architectural images. I don't think it needs anything more.

Great picture Tom. The curve from the bottom right leading to the light at the end of the wall together with the reflections on the tiles make it for me.

A very beautiful architectural image with good perspective. I like the angle of view and tones

Strong composition, great exposure and range of tones. I think it's a corker, well done Tom.

I really like this shot. Great contrast and well defined edges. I'm drawn into the picture by the sweeping curve of the floor and then the light playing on the floor just round the corner. Nice work!

The wall creates a wonderful lead line bringing me right into the photo. It's a wonderful shot!

Nothing more to be said really its just superb. I like the way you've positioned the top of the frame to fall just above that row of decoration in the cement facade. You have used PS transforming tools to great effect with as far as I can see minimal interpolation leaving very clear and sharp albeit in places subtle detail very clear on all the surfaces.

With a discussion on composition in camera recently, this photo is the perfect example of full use of 3rds & possibly the golden what-u-macallit! Thus the reason for it being soooo appealing, naturally! Great pic! Have you tried playing with different tones....B&W...Sepia etc! When you have such a good shot, its always good to push each alternative to a degree, don't u think?

Thanks so much to everyone for your generous comments on this one. So it was worth my while waiting.
It may not look like it from the photograph but it was an extremely busy Saturday at the Museum and very difficult not to fall over a tourist. I sat for a long time on the corridor waiting to get it completely clear of humans. I must have had it composed a dozen times but for someone to appear in front or from behind. I did a conversion to B/W which I liked but I preferred what is on offer here.
                              Thanks again.
