Many miles travelled

Came across this old wheel with various assorted trucks whilst on holiday. I've been trying to work out how to process them and finally decided on plain old B/W. Would appreciate your thoughts on the picture

Thanks Stuart, yes the wood spokes were well bleached and weathered

I think the B/w was the right choice here with the tones well balanced.. It's good that the brighest part of the wheel is around the centre area. Is there a little touch of burn out on the spoke at around 20 past the hour? Just a little I think.

really nice Stephen, have you considered lightening the background so more textures can be seen in the wood, or even a sepia conversion? (there is something about old wagon wheels that lends itself to sepia)

Hi Stephen,
A super subject and a great image, I will have to get my monitor calibrated as it appears to me that the deepest shadows are a touch blocked up, or is that as envisaged. Love the detail and light on the wheel, very photogenic.
