  • The New Lens

Well, the new lens has arrived.... 50mm f1.8 Nice little thing, suprised that the minimum focal distance isnt closer, and it takes a bit of getting used to not being able to twist 'n' zoom!

Comments welcome on this, taken about 10mins after delivery, I quite like the results they are giving so far, and love the fact that it doesnt have to be too bright to get nice results. Also like the narrow depth of field.

Great stuff, Ben - you've immediately put your new lens to very good use . That limited DOF is just the ticket

Great stuff Ben, I'd question whether you would have got such a sharp image with your regular lens

It's a beautiful shot with her cute little features focused spot on target.

Awwww. Definitely one for the album.
