  • The Viewfinder

Biked it up to the British Museum last weekend and I was fairly happy with the results.
This one needed a fair blast of the old rotate/distort to get a decent shape to it.
The B/W worked pretty well with this chap and I will post it if there is an Almighty demand .
Hope you like it but if you don't please tell me why.
    Many thanks

    Hi Tom,
there is something about this I like, the framing is great. Although I think it would look better with just one head peering out, that said I like the idea

        Hi Tom,
I like this image and its concept, I alos like the way at first glance momentarily it seems as if the people are peering out of a hole in the ground.
        Well spotted and taken/processed.

Many thanks to all.. I would like it better if the guy on the left was not there.
Tinka; a colleague said the exact same thing about it looking as though they were looking from a hole in the ground.

            Re: The Viewfinder

When I first saw this I thought it was a fancy balustrade around a balcony. Then I noticed the faces. It made me smile at myself. I like the way my eye seems to be drawn all around the image, but with the lovely pale colours it is not busy. I like the inclusion of the chap in the middle, but would probably prefer it without the face on the left.

A perfect illustration of Human fallability! We compartmentalize things instantly in the cognitive phase.....at 1st glance we see the flat part where window & people are as the ground or floor, thes rest making a usual building....untill seconds later, our brain realizes....oh.....a different view! Well spotted Tom! I like photos that make one think!

Thanks Blythe and Jocelyn for your positive comments on this.
I agree totally with Blythe on the man on the left and I too wished he had stayed in the pub.
I might make him dissappear before this hits the printer.
