I Tried some editing in Photoshop,

Please advise me what you think, and Advise what I can do Different next time ?

Nice capture, he looks a little sad though!

It looks like the focus isnt bang on to me, the focus on any animal should be right on the eye.

Also, is this a cropped version, as you have cropped off the bottom jaw, which is a shame.

I wuld also brighten the eyes, and maybe accentuate the catchlight as well.

This lion Where very far away, and this was one of my very fist attemps with the S2IS, and I used the Digital Zoom to get this close...

So yes, this foto is not totally in Focus..

Digital zoom! tsk tsk tsk.....

I would advise never to use digital zoom, its a definate no no.

Always crop afterwards.
Digital zoom, basically zooms into the pixels in-camera, and as such, degrades the image terribly. I always advise to turn it off completely.

You can be forgiven chopping off the ears....you can be forgiven chopping off his mouth.....but not both on the same pic.
