  • Hollyhock and bee

Took this one in bright sunshine, so have struggled with the strong shadows.

Also wish I'd taken it a second or two later when the bee landed (and then promptly took off!)

Can someone please tell me how to lighten up the centre a bit, or is it better as it is?

    Hi Caz,

    Lovely shot!

Here is how I would treat it.
Had a fiddle with the levels, sharpened, darkened the background as well to make the subjects stand out a little. I couldnt feather the edges as much as I would have liked because of the file size though.

    Hope you like it.

Like it? I love it! I had fiddled with the levels (although only in the Canon software), so what did you use?

      Thank you Ben
