Hi Ian,
I like the crispness in the first one But wonder if a single flower would look nicer, there is nice detail on the stems. The second shows how delicate the stamen (i think thats the bit) is but has a little to much red suround for my taste, Maybe a tighter crop on the centre......just a couple of thoughts

Hi,
I have to agree the first image appears crisper but the cut off flower spoils it for me, In the second a crisp clear macro shot of the stamen would be a better bet.

Had a play with the Glad, took away a couple of blemishes and and cropped the original
