Hi Patrick, for convenience I've put your photo in the body of the post. I find the photo a very pleasing and calming image. One can almost hear the music. I'm not sure whether this was as seen, or whether you have done some shading to concentrate the eye on the fingers. Whatever, the picture works well for me, and even the negative space either side of the fingers and frets, allows you to imagine whatever else may be there.

Was this a busker in Oxford or simply a recital somewhere?

He was a busker in the Market Hall in Oxford Saturday.
It was how it came of camera, just increased the saturation a touch and sharpened, and the border no more.

It's a belter, Patrick!

Not only did you manage to capture a great shot, you also managed to capture it when he had his fingers in a superb position.

Heck - there's even some string detail showing between the critical frets. Superb!

What a wonderful image, I could not put it any better than the comments already made, however I would strongly suggest that this image would make a superb Album cover image. Stunning.
