My first attempt at a pano

... so be gentle with me, but critique is definitely welcome. I did go overboard slightly and take 10 shots, but eventually cut it down to 4 or 5 (it's late, and I can't remember!)

always better to have too many pictures then not enough!!
myself I'd crop the same distance to the right of the trough as the horse is in on the left hand side, that'll get rid of the telephone pole, and the clone brush the wire out too.

Almost as above but I have moved the horse over a bit so as to save cropping it out. Plus slight tweak to levels.

I don't get why everyone wants to remove parts of images. Isn't that kind of like telling porkies? The pole does not distract from the pictures in my opinion, but I prefer seeing the images warts and all.

I would maybe have included less sky. It seems a little dead above the trees. Who knows? Try cropping the sky and the foreground so that the sky forms the top 1/3 only. It seem a lot more pleasing to me. I cropped about half of the foreground and 2/3 of the sky and it looked a lot better to me. It also has more of a pano appearance that way.

Thanks Guy, I agree with you - although I was very impressed that Ron had managed to move the outside horse! Don't think I'm capable of fiddling to that extent yet, but I have tried another crop. I liked Ron's version, but somehow the sky looks slightly odd on my monitor (although that might be my monitor). It gets rid of a lot of the sky (and the wire). Ok, I know it leaves the post but without those none of us would have electricity round here! I tweaked the levels a bit, too.

Caz take away a bit more sky and the horizon will be on one of the third lines. It is a lot more pleasing that way

I'm working on this at the moment - I edit my revised picture in my Canon editor, try to post the revised version here.... and still get the image above.
