I like it - a good, crisp shot all the way through with plenty to interest the eye (though I did spend a while wondering what the white dots were on the landscape!)

The wall is very sharp, with little loss of definition in the landscape behind - and you were lucky with the cloud (or did you add that in later?)

Yes - I like this one. There is plenty of detail in there to explore, both in the rocky wall and in the distance. If the image has enough resolution, this would make nice large scale print.

          Many thanks Ian and Caz
I got a nice A3 out of this one Ian.
Caz I'm glad you like it but adding clouds or replacing skies is not for me.

Hi Tom, I never got chance to comment on this when you first posted it, and of course I forgot to follow it up after.

I think you have all the elements of a great landscape shot here. Blue sky, fluffy white clouds, sea, a great view, and some foreground interest.

Now my personal feeling is that you have not got them all gelling together. For me the wall in the foreground is too heavy, making it more of a wall picture than a landscape. The Portrait aspect does not help, and my natural feeling is that it should be in Landscape view, showing more of the land and sea, and only a little of the wall. The horizon btw seems too central.

Now it wouldn't suprise me if you had taken several shots at this point and even got a landscape version. I'm sure it would make a more naturally appealing picture. Please don't tell me this is the only version

              Thanks Stephen.
The wall is meant to dominate with everything else as added interest. The idea was to feature the wall and its detail but that little cloud I really liked; so to get close to the wall and to include the cloud I used the vertical format. Yes indeed there are lots more of this area.
I actually really like the portrait mode here. But I appreciate your 'view' Stephen.
I'll have a root through and see if there is one that more or less covers the idea you outline.
