Getting fed up with this weather, I want some sunshine so I can go out and take some happy snappy piccys.

In the meantime this is one of our pups.

oh what a super model you have there!!

As you have posted this in the critique section Paul, I would say that the focus shows a little evidence of movement, and it would be nice to have included the bottom part of the pup with a small section of floor.

Other than that, the composition is super, and the neutral background is a bonus.

Yes, I used natural light and as you say there is a slight blur to it. Still I've switched the camera from Auto to Program mode so it's a start eh?
I didn't crop the picture at all, that's all of it. I resized it for the forum.

absolutely, personally, I always use full manual. You could try putting the camera on the floor, sometimes it can give a more dramatic angle, and stop the motion blur
