Re: Flowers
Hi Stan,
(Posting for ease of viewing)

I think this is a nice image, however, the baground is a little distracting, I like the inclusion of the out of focus flower, but the white to the top left doesnt really match the rest of the background.
The flower itself also I think could do with being a little sharper, and a little brighter.
Hope that helps,
Cheers,
Ben

Re: Flowers
The gradual change in the colours provide a beautiful and unusual backdrop for the flower. The out of focus flower is a real bonus also in what to me is a very original flower shot and a very pleasing change from the usual flower shots we are usually presented with. On my monitor the exposure looks fine with just the right amount of sharpness in the important part.
Top marks from me anyway.

Re: Flowers
I also find the background overpowering. I prefer a more uniform background.
The background flower makes the main flower more acceptable as a centrepiece but I feel it could do with a bit more vibrancy. The water droplets are a nice touch.-------------------------

Hi Stan,
I like this image, Yes pehaps the white top left as you view is a little bright, but a minor detail which can be corrected with a little selective adjustments, the vibrancy could be increased useing curves and levels adjustment layers, if thought to be needed. A very nice image indeed.Catch Ya Later

Hi Ben, I wonder if Stan deliberately set up the background for effect?Originally posted by coupekid View PostHi Stan,

Although the background is well blurred, the strength of presence of the background flower does compete with the in-focus flower.
