    Re: The Bridge

Well I aint no expert by a long shot (that's why I joined this forum) but I find the exceptionally dark hedge, just above the water line, out of sync with the rest of the photograph which appears to have a pleasant 'sepia' tone about it.

This image has a lot going on in it. The line of ducks/whatever are just too much plus the brightness of the suns reflection unbalances the image. Over all I like the scene and felt it worth while having a play with it. Here's what I ended up with, hope you approve.

        High coupekid,

The shot is nice. What I like most of all is the visible haze in the atmosphere.
I would prefer to be a tick more saturated with a tick increase in contrast.

Being an expert doesnt matter Pops! I welcome all comments (good and bad) from anyone!

I understand what you are saying, but what attracted me to this shot was the layers, the dark hedge, behind that the slightly lighter, right to the back with the hazey silhouettes of the spires etc. But I understand what you are saying.

I cant really see that much difference in all honesty, I can see you have cloned out the ducks on the left. looks like you have slightly brightened the sky, and dimmed the reflection.
Always feel free to play with my pictures as you see fit though!

              Re: The Bridge

I love the colours in the picture has a lovely feel to it. My only critisism is I find the reflection in the water a tad too bright and find my eye keeps going to it. I dont know if there is anything that could be done about that anyway.

That's what I particularly like about it too, in addition to the colours. The only thing that spoils it for me is the burn out on the water........ but, like you, I'd regard it as a keeper because of the 'layers and colours'.

I didn't lighten the sky. I think that looks like that because I tried to darken the reflection in the water. Could do with a bit more I feel. Nice shot as others have said well worth keeping.

                    Hi Coupekid,
A strange and somewhat compelling image, but not one I would keep despite the layer effect, perhaps it could be converted into a graphic poster type effect, similar to the old fashioned seaside posters we used to see.
