  • The last Chartwell panorama

    Hi all,
Here is a last attempt at a pano of Chartwell gardens, it consists of several images taken hand held. following previous help and suggestions, Selective exposure adjustment has been applied to try to even up the exposure across the image and retain the sky color and detail. Am I any nearer, what do you think?
    Many thanks.

Tinka, the Autostitch program I mentioned earlier negates the need to do exposure adjustment. In fact it even compensates to some extent for slight differences in focal length. This attempt doesn't look too bad though.

      Hi Stephen,
Thaks again, I have downloaded the prog you suggested, it is just a matter of installing and trying which I will do this week. apparently it is a demo and restricted prog so will have to see how we get on with it, definately this week though.

        Hi Tinka,

This looks pretty well stitched but I feel that in trying to get the sky exposure right the foreground is looking rather under exposed. On my screen there is little to no detail in the central tree or the hedge on the right. A little more editing may be able to recover this (shadow and highlight tool for example).

Yes, I'd agree with that. When I first saw this shot I was using a non-calibrted screend and I wasn't sure if it was the screen or the picture, so I didn't comment, but it definitely looks too dark in the shaded areas.
