Ron I think you should have posted the bigger version of this. Its difficult to see some of the detail and whether the stitching has been effective. It certainly appears you have an effective composition

Certainly a well balanced composition. Would love to see it enlarged

Help please! I uploaded this to the galleries and it over fills the screen on there. Copied link to here and this is all I got. Where did I go wrong?

Did you use the link for the larger version of the image?

The smaller 'gallery thumbnail' has a different url to the larger one. I'll also look at it in the gallery to see what might have happened.

Yes, that's the problem - you've posted the url for the smaller version. Post again using the url for the 1600 x 620 version and you should be ok.

I think it is a super composition, however, on the bottow left hand side, there is a degree of ghosting in the reeds, where the picture doesnt quite gel. With a little bit of time, I reckon these could be removed effectively though in Photoshop.

Thats much better Ron, I remembered spotting this in the Gallery so knew you had a bigger version. Coupekid is right though about the ghosting. Probably caused by the winf moving the leaves during the different exposures of the panorama.

Spot on Stephen and Coupekid. I had not noticed this myself. Guess I was looking more at the sky to see if there was any signs of the stitching. As I spend most weekends at this lake I'll have another go but with my other camera this time. Lesson learnt not to include things that can move in my overlaps Thanks for your help.

                        Re: Fishing Lake

This is the same three images I used before but processed this time in ArcSoft Panorama software. This seems to have done a far better job. No ghosting as far as I can see and I think it's even sharper than my last attempt. Three images from a Canon Power Shot S100 (2mg res.) 500 sec. at f7.1 meter centre weighted. Your comments on this version please.

Don't mind at all Coupekid, in fact I have a similar one on the computer. I increased the saturation on mine but the sky colour changed a bit red. How did you do your version?

                              Coupekid,

I saw your panorama. Indeed there is some ghosting in some areas like the other users mentioned, but that seems to be total responsibility of the software you used for stiching.

                              My opinion though is:
                              1. Avoid any panorama stiching plugin for photoshop or other software.
                              2. Avoid very complicated stiching software (those that you neeed to download different separate little software and make them work together as inerfaces)
                              3. Start with simple softwares that do really good job (personally I tested many of them myself, not only in how they stich, but also how close to the original shots is the final result in terms of image quality.

For starting, I would suggest the following software:

                              a. Panorama Factory (offers, automatic, manual and semi-manual stiching)
                              b. Panorama Studio (does a really good automatic job)
                              c. PhotoVista (does same good job like the previous, but slightly sharpens the final result)
                              d. iVista Panorama (automatic stiching too with very good image quality too).

If I can be of any further assistance, I would be more than gl;ad to help you.

                              Regards
